I had been using a Nikon D200 which has (and still is) served me well for the past 5 years. I have found ways of working around it's limitations and it has been a great camera, but the time came to upgrade and I was waiting for a D700 replacement and I am not disappointed! One of the scary things about the D800 is it's only limitation is ME!!
I took a couple of 'test' shots to test the differences between the two cameras. Below are some images of the same flower, taken with the same settings and from the same vantage point. The D200 is on the left and the D800 on the right. The only post-processing alterations on the following images is a raw conversion.

So far I am extremely impressed with the D800, now to get some new glass and wait for a D4 to join the family :)
